About Us
Volunteer with HICAP San Francisco
Would you like to be a HICAP counselor?
HICAP counselors
- Work directly with seniors and people with disabilities to provide Medicare information;
- Hand out fliers and answer questions at outreach events;
- Help clients find and compare Part D drug plans.
Counselors volunteer anywhere between 3-4 hours a month to 3-4 hours a week. You will complete 30 hours of classroom training, 20 hours of shadowing, and then be registered by the California Department of Aging.
